I seriously can't wait until Tuesday to list my latest project. I've been working on this one for hours upon hours...early hours, wee hours, all hours. The laundry is left undone. The house is a wreck. The kids are dirty. (Okay, not really.) The husband is feeling neglected. (Really.) This is a tiny sneak. Come see me on Tuesday, my friends. Hint: the colors in the large beads of the handle might give you a hint. There are 6 of them. 
Adam is so psyched to be playing T-Ball this Spring. He's on the orange team with some of his best buds. Here he is after Opening Day. He thinks he's The Thing in his shirt and hat (the Marvel superhero, for those of you who don't know.) His friend Elias is the Hulk, so you can probably guess what color that T-Ball shirt is! 
I'm so happy the warm weather is finally here! I spent the day in the sunshine yesterday with friends, and got my first (and ONLY) sunburn of the season. I'm always so careful because I have very pale skin and light hair, so I burn easily. I'm the one that you see always covered up in the warm weather. But yesterday I uncovered to enjoy the first real warmth this year, and it happened. I'll be more careful, that's for sure.
So this all gets me in the mood for summer outfits and red, white and blue sets. Here's a set by LaNae of Tattered Tulips. I love the smocking. The little sailboat and bows had me thinking of this summer and spending time with my Dad on his boat. I'll take the sunscreen, please.
It was rainy here in Massachusetts today, and I didn't feel like doing much, so I picked up these naked pegs and started painting them. Here's my ladybug and her friend. These remind me of Julia- we've called her "JDBug" since birth. Her initials are JD, and I've always loved ladybugs (hmmm...obviously.) Her nickname is still "bug" even though she cringes if the name pops out by accident in front of her friends. This was really practice for a bigger project I'm working on for next month. Stay tuned. :)
A dear friend asked me recently to make her daughter a First Communion headpiece. She wanted it to capture the daintiness of a simply-styled eyelet dress. I finished it today and can't wait to give it to her. It is braided with satin and grosgrain ribbon, and I added some sweet crochet flowers. I was worried about it slipping off, so I put a detachable comb on the underneath so that it won't budge. Here's Sara trying it on for me.
